Julian’s Tech Start-up Challenge 2025: Occupy Mars organised by Julian’s Pathfinder Foundation

We are proud to announce that five of our students – Louisa Fsadni, Kate Harmsworth, Therese Amelie Vassallo, Jaimee Cauchi, and Riona Seguna – were among the 24 outstanding participants selected for Julian’s Tech Start-up Challenge 2025: Occupy Mars organised by Julian’s Pathfinder Foundation.

Over four intensive days, they worked collaboratively in teams to explore what life on Mars could look like, addressing critical challenges in energy, food, infrastructure, health, technology, and economy. The programme featured inspiring sessions, including a live video call with former NASA astronaut Kate Rubins, a keynote by Dr. Robert Zubrin on “What We Can Create on the Red Planet”, and a thought-provoking presentation by Professor Christopher Mason on Engineering Life to Reach New Worlds. The challenge culminated in final presentations, where students showcased their research, creativity, and innovative solutions – a testament to their talent, resilience, and vision for the future of space exploration.
