On Wednesday, 27th August, Ms Sandra, our Head of school, attended the ERA Awards Ceremony – which is held under the patronage of President Myriam Spiteri Debono – to accept the Green Schools Scheme Award on behalf of our school.

The Green Schools Scheme for Educational Institutions and Learning Programmes recognises schools undertaking projects promoting sustainability and environmental awareness through hands-on activities. This award is a testament to the continued commitment of our EkoSkola committee and the entire school community towards education on sustainable development.

In addition, the scheme will provide funding to help our school replace a greenhouse that has fallen into disrepair and to implement a rainwater harvesting system for irrigation. Apart from supporting the EkoSkola committee’s ongoing work on sustainable food production, these resources will enhance STEM education by providing valuable, hands-on learning opportunities.
